The wing is by far the most critical and important choice in an aicraft design. The choise of a high aspect ratio (ca. 10) and highly efficient flap design (fowler) is the best compromise between efficiency and low production costs for its size.

The middle wing position on the fuselage was chosen as the best possible choice for visibility, aerodynamic efficiency, safety against ground strike. As the wing contains integral fuel tank, in case of fuel pump problem, gravity will provide sufficient pressure to feed the engine.
