NGA selected a modern 2 cylinder boxer engine with specially designed dual electronic injection. The engine delivers 110 hp (120 hp in future versions) and 115 Nm of torque wich can be increased, for a short time, allowing higher safety at take-off thanks to the extra-power.
The available power however offers an estonishing very low fuel consumption of > 230 g/kWh @ best economy. The powerplant is extremely quiet, is fully balanced and produces a low level of vibration. It is equipped with a 3 ways catalyzed engine. (for your record: not a single car on the market today in the western world is not equipped with a 3 ways catalyzator, and this, since more than 10 years...)
NGA will be one of the first companies offering this powerplant from scratch, resulting in a powerful, safe and more environmental friendly aeroplane.
Dependability: the engine relies on years of experience and about 70-80 engines are flying today with an excellent safety record.
Alternative engines, such as diesel powerplant is also considered.
