May be the major challenge of NGAero's design is the transmission from the central engine to the tractor propeller. This mechanical element is finalized and the manufacturing of the parts for the test bed will take place during Fall 2005.

This critical items: shaft, couplings and dampeners will be tested on the ground to their limits. Once the tests are successful, the transmission design will be frozen, giving way to the finalization of fixture details. NGAero designed all transmission elements from scratch, making use of the best materials for each function: titanium, magnesium and aluminium alloys included, giving light weight, stable and dependable transmission.
